Self love is a gift you give yourself.
With over 35 years dedicated to holistic practice and wellness, it is my
passion and commitment to assist and guide humanity to a higher level of
understanding, self-transformation and acceptance, healing and love.
This journey has been transformational both personally and
professionally for my own self as well as my clients. Having gained vast
experience over the last two decades, it has provided me with the tools
and techniques to teach and reach my students and clients in
immeasurable ways.
Growing up I wanted to feel like I belonged, yet I found myself battling
with, as I hadn’t felt I did to anyone or anything. I needed to connect
to me, to my core. In 1978, I had the privilege to study under the late
Bishop Rev. William H. Jackson, D.D., founder of the Philosophers' Open
Forum in Hartford, CT. Bishop Rev. Jackson saved my life in a compelling
way. His teachings sparked a powerful impression within me, of which
positively influenced my journey of self and stimulated my passion for
helping others in the holistic and wellness industry. Being in my 20s
when I first met Bishop Rev. Jackson, I didn’t know it then, but it was
his unwavering encouragement that allowed me the space to open up and
share; a safe place during a critical time where I felt displaced and
uncertain. It was a space to explore my inner core, and so I did. Under
his direction and teachings, I completed studies of Generalized Pattern
of Human Behavior, Mental Discipline, and a 10-year independent study in
Thought Research. During that same period, I also studied various
metaphysical courses in Paranormal psychology at the Alpha Logic's
Center, Bristol, CT. The knowledge I was gaining was exhilarating; the
experience revolutionary.
By the Mid 1980's I began teaching classes: Learning to develop your
psychic abilities, Introduction to the Chakra's, Creative Visualization
and Personal Energies to bring forth education about the metaphysical
arena. And soon after began to expand my studies to incorporate
self-healing and personal wellness. My second independent study focused
on the teachings of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, a minister and author
known for his work on the power of positive thinking. By the late
1980’s, I obtained my certification from "The National Guild of
Hypnosis" and collected all the learnings toward implementing my own
unique programs of positive attitudes.
This is where the magic began, the "spark" so-to-speak that ignited my
soul and propelled my journey even more forward than before. The
information, learnings and teachings compelled me to want to share with
others, and help people realize and recognize their abilities, self
worth and value. And so I began creating workshops and classes designed
at doing just this. These workshops and classes included Self-Healing,
Building of Self-Esteem and Confidence, Pain Management and Inner
Guidance.
My thirst for more knowledge grew stronger and went on to obtain my B.S.
in Healtheology at the American Institute of Holistic Theology, and
certification in pain management from The National Guild of Hypnosis. In
March 1996, I was featured in the Health Science section of the Hartford
Courant which was later picked up by syndicated news throughout the
United States and Internet. As a robust believer that knowledge is
power, I am continuously feeding my education palette towards completion
of a Masters Degree. In the interim, I’ve attained certification as a
Reiki Master Teacher, and have been teaching Reiki I, II, III and Master
program since 2003. Following certification I completed DNA I and II
Thetahealing Course (July, 2005), Crystal Star Healing by Nanci Cannon
(2007), and Advanced Soul Entrainment by Karen Paolino-Correia from
Heaven on Earth (2014).
I have had the pleasure of being a featured speaker on Nutmeg
Television’s New Age Pathways Show hosted by Bill Winkler and spoke with
student nurses at Goodwin College addressing a program "Healthy Steps
Leading to Improving Self-Care" in 2014. Numerous additional speaking
engagements include but are not limited to: lectured at Barnes & Noble
Bookstore, Farmington, CT, The National Association of Women in
Construction, Glastonbury, CT, Social Workers and Counselors for Women
at the Sexual Assault Crisis Service, YWCA, New Britain, CT, and have
held workshops at several metaphysical bookstores throughout
Connecticut. Additionally, I had the honor of teaching at The Graduate
Institute in Bethany, CT, from 2015-2016, with a focus on Ways of
Enhancing and Developing Your Intuition for the Masters of Arts Program.
This program explores a multi-faceted approach to learning in holistic
and interdisciplinary ways. I have also been a featured writer in the
Door Opener magazine.
Currently, I am teaching a plethora of various personal growth and
transformation classes for students and offer a diversity of classes,
workshops, retreats and individual appointments.
I am a proud member of the Connecticut Holistic Health Association,
International Association of Counselors & Therapists, The National Guild
of Hypnotists and The Connecticut Hospital Association. My personal
business, Tree of Healing, LLC, has received "Best Holistic Practice" of
Rocky Hill, CT, for 2014, 2015 and 2017.
